Don’t mind me as you carry out your deed
I am merely the bystander, watching with fearful eyes
I am no one to stop you, and I feel no guilt
It is not my doing that has pushed the victim into the locker
Nor have I personally threatened him into giving me his lunch money
I have not, and because I am no one important or special
Or different, for that matter
Whom am I to take a stand?
I am the one person who sees these goings-on
I am the one person around to take the stand
Instead I cower and sit, refusing to hold the ground
So the victim falls, laughed at for weakness
And I am still the no one special
I am still the nobody who stood up
Whom am I to take that stand?
