If, like me, you’re a shy writer, attending a writers’ conference might fill you with dread, but there really is a lot of merit to pulling yourself out of your writer’s den, putting on something other than sweats or pajamas and attending your nearest writers’ conference  to network with agents, publishers and other writers.

Writers’ conferences are a great opportunity to make connections, get feedback and (daunting as it may sound) pitch your work to agents and publishers face to face.
