I'm excited to begin meeting other writers on She Writes.  I am a beginner, working on a memoir depicting a healing journey from incest and abuse. My journey covers the abuse, therapy, various occult groups, and ultimately Christianity. If there are any areas I can help with or share information about, I'm glad to do it.

For today, I'm going to explore some of your blogs, and then do some editing on my book. I'm still figuring out how to do realistic dialogue.  Since my book is in first person, it has been a challenge to get a child's voice in describing the details of the abuse. I'm hoping my book is detailed enough that people who have been hurt can relate, but not too detailed.

My husband turned on the TV to a show about Hippies - I loved that counterculture. I live within fifteen miles of Woodstock (even though the concert was in Bethel, not Woodstock), there are a lot of colorful and intriguing Hippie wannabes wandering the street.  It's a fun area to live.  Some of my memoir deals with the end of that era in the seventies.

I pray your day is blessed.
