If anyone had told me that one day I would wake up hearing lions roar in the next paddock, I would have checked to see if it was April the first. But as true as I am sitting here blogging away, every day around 5pm just as I am feeding my eleven cats, a fine deep baritone groowwl from a number of big cats can be heard not more than 200 metres away.

Creepy? Well a little surreal maybe, even makes you sit and think for a moment, at how God really does work in mysterious ways. But even more awesome is the fact that the people who own the zoo (and its animal inhabitants) have become close friends. I am so pleased that I have lions and tigers and bears next door, not to mention all varieties of snakes, exotic birdlife, crocodiles, lamas, monkey and gorillas. One day I'll tell you all how I ended having coffee with 2 peacocks.

Let's be friends
