Dear Laurel: We are all sad that you lost your mother yesterday and we will lose our mother's regretfully tomorrow. What is a "good" death you ask? There is really no "good" death, but the one who is leaving us comes to full term with what is happening, unknown to you, and makes inner peace with their creator. It is important for any mother to raise good children that are responsible and to become a success for the benefit of society. Once a mother realizes that her dreams for her children are a reality she understands that she has fulfilled her purpose and she has also found a new freedom. The purpose of a mother's untimely passing, due to illness, is not to interupt the dreams she has worked so hard to realize for her children, but a gift of freedom to her children, that they can freely venture off to any corner of the world, and creatively pursue their goals, without having to carry her burden. Mother's never leave their children, even in death, it is the children who leave home ... May God continue to bless your path to keep the world literally informed.
