November 2011

Pretty soon I'll be on the road, dreaming of turkey and pumpkin pie. But before I go, I wanted to write a quick post wishing everyone at She Writes a very Happy Thanksgiving. Even if you're not celebrating the third Thursday of November like we do here in the U.S., I hope you'll join us in the comments by taking a moment to list one thing you're thankful for today.

I'm thankful that Dan will be driving today, so that I can relax and view the scenery for a couple of hours. While we're rolling down the highway, I'd love to get a hundred comment notifications in my email.

Now, I don't want to take up much of your time today, so if we all list one single thing we're thankful for in the comments we can participate as the awesome group of She Writers we are and still spend this day with our family and friends.

I cant wait to see what you all come up with!

Many blessings to your and your families today, and thanks for being such a supportive community for women writers.

I'm an Aussie in the UK so we don't celebrate Thanksgiving as a holiday but I try to live a thankful life. I too am thankful that I'm a writer... I feel for those who can't get their thoughts down in the way that some of us find so effortless. I'm thankful for my husband and children, for the people they married, and for my children's children. I'm thankful that God loves me no matter what and that He's teaching me what unconditional love can look like.

I'm thankful that even though we're familiar with the quote: "Life happens when you are making other plans" ... I can rest in the fact of Truth:  "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, to give you a hope and beautiful future."  Jeremiah 29:11

As a writer, I am thankful for the freedom and blessing of being able to write my own truth when and how I want to. Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful for my Mom's willingness to prepare a huge meal for all of us for the holiday. What a load off!
