I'm troubled and perplexed; my thoughts are all over the place... and I like it!  That's how I felt when I finished writing today; it was just the kind of emotios that I would expect my readers to have after reading that particular excerpt.  Though I wish, at time, that I can find a way to write these kinds of troubling scenes and leave my emotions on the page when I'm done.  But I sometimes worry about the character(s) as if they were my own children.  Therein lies the problem.  The challenge today: I want my characters to be 'all better', for all their problems to be resolved at page's end, for lessons to be learned immediately, but I know that's not real life and to 'mother' your characters can leave them flat and lifeless.  So, in this case, I''m going to be a good mother and let go. 18197 words and counting!
