The first person to ever encourage my story telling abilities was my younger sister Megan, with whom I shared a bedroom throughout our childhood. From early on, as soon as the lights went out, she’d ask for a story. I’d make up adventurous tales, often involving a Beatle or two. My older sisters had introduced their music to me and I’d loved their first two movies which served to influence me heavily. I always knew I’d done well when, for several nights in a row, Megan requested that I repeat the story from the night before. In school, I’d daydream and continue these tales, planning for the twists and turns of the next installment.
