Just came across my desk.  There is a new self-publishing company that is being put together by industry people who are sick of newcomers, during this economy, not getting a shot!

They are also sick and tired of sites saying that they are free, and then getting you with the expenses of marketing, book doctors, publicists, buying copies of your book, etc.  This company is going to do a one-time fee that is way under industry prices and GIVE the author an editor, book designer, marketing manager, publicist - AND they have a social network that involves radio, television stations, and over a million social contacts and sites.

I'll keep you posted.  They're almost up and running and will be opening for queries around September 1st.
