I was wondering if anyone has applied to a graduate program in the past, or is currently applying, and if anyone has tips for what to write/what not to write in a statement of purpose. Of course Google was my first resource for this, but sometimes it's better to hear first hand from someone else!

I'm currently working on getting my statements of purpose together for the schools I'm applying to, and it's actually really difficult to only write 2 pages. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on what to include and what kind of things to leave out. I still have several months before I have to send everything off, but I know as soon as Fall semester begins, I will be moving too fast to worry about editing, so I'd like to get an idea of what to do now.
