Dear She Writes friends and colleagues,

In response to VS Naipaul's recent ridiculous declarations about women writers, I'm curating a project called Love Letters to VS Naipaul. For those who respect and love writing and literature, regardless of gender on either side of the reader-writer equation, it hurts to find a discussion of the art so reduced in nature.

There is really only one thing left to do when one’s (he)art is broken: write a love letter.

We are looking for submissions and invite your voices, your words, your anger, sentiment, boredom, intellect--and even your passion--regarding VSN's belief that no woman writer can master the world of letters.
