Every morning you water, every morning you cut. You need roses for the teachers, roses for friends, roses for your table, roses for the heartbroken neighbour, roses for a heartbreaking visit to the hospital and a rose for your bed table to remind you to count your blessings every day.

Elf is in the garden attacking the pink oleander that has spread out too far. Soon he will be so full of energy that he will cut down everything in reach. Fairy must act quickly.

Moselle cup. It’s hot enough.

In each of the pitchers you put 2 or 3 lumps of ice, the juice of a lime, 1 pony of cognac 1 of maraschino, 1 of Curacao, 1 teaspoon of grenadine, 4 slices of orange and 2 of lemon. You pour into each 1 quart of still Moselle and 1 bottle of plain soda. On top a few sprigs of fresh mint from your garden.
