  • I applaud Toni Morrison and Alice Walker for their steadfast movement to honor women's accomplishments, suffering and pioneer through their writing. Walker's Possesing the Secret of Joy revealed the pain of female circumcision that is still prevalent today. Morrison's Beloved, what can I say, the decisions a mother makes regarding slavery for her children.
