My First Writer's Conference!!

On March 3, I will attend the welcome banquet at the Desert Nights Rising Stars Writer's Conference here in Tempe Arizona. I am very exicted and just a little part of me is also apprehensive about it. Sort of like going to the new school dance intent on finding the first non-descript wall to plant myself against and "observe" before I take the plunge and hit the dancefloor. I dont plan on holding that wall up long but I will be looking for a friendly face or two, ones with maybe the same glazed look behind their eyes.

Hi Cathy! I was debating on just posting on my blog since I work mostly from there but I will most likely post from both. I post a brief summary on SW when I have a new post on my blog so I may just cut/paste for the conference. Of course as a working mother of two boys, I am working now to prepare for the conference...... planning quick meals for the family, getting school stuff ready, lists of "what to do" for hubby while I am gone (you know,the things one has to do when mommy is not around)... The interesting part is from Friday to Saturday, the family will be on a travel hockey tournament and I will be here alone!! Goodness, that has not happened in years.. THAT alone will be a blog.. I am very excited about the blog and look forward to giving daily (sometimes twice..) reports on my experience.. Check in!!
