Facing November 30

To all who are still working, I wish you closing day graces. It's the last writing day for the Poetic Asides chapbook challenge, for NaNoWriMo, and for all other major group writings this month. So, I totally flaked on NaNoWriMo---maybe two weeks ago. And, now I've finished with beating myself up about it. I don't plan to try it soon, (NaNo, not novel writing). In fact I have plans to take a much slower, less frantic pace to complete a first novel. Tonight, I'm not up late writing, rushing to catch up on anything. My poem for today's challenge was posted hours earlier. With only one to write later today, I can breathe a sigh of contented relief. My goal is to write the last poem and post it early. That way I'm free to read as many last day's posts from others as I can. I face today with excitement and peace. I worked diligently to write three poems on the 29th so I could be caught up before the last day. I will rest well shortly, because I managed to reach my goal in spite of all that threatened my focus, most notably my congested sinuses. It's been a real joy this month! But I'm ready to be done. I'm ready to connect more here, and to resume the projects I sidelined for this magical month of poem writing frenzy. With the rest of my week being very busy, I won't really bask in the afterglow until the weekend, which will include lots of extra sleep. And that's soon enough I think.
