Hi all -
I've been terribly inactive on She Writes (I MISS this place!), but I wanted to pass on this opportunity for any freelancers out there, because it's a good one. Siegel+Gale, the branding agency I work for, is looking for a couple of freelancers to write copy for a new version of their website, currently in development. Writers will need to write (or rewrite, in some cases) in the Siegel+Gale tone and style, which has been defined as clear, candid, and confident. The current site is the best place to go for examples of the S+G voice:
www.siegelgale.com
Most of the content will be case studies and S+G staff bios. If you're interested, they've asked that you submit your own 200-word bio, written in the S+G voice, as a work sample. SheWriters can email bios to me at the below email address (please do NOT simply post it here):
[email protected]
Please note that I have ZERO influence over who gets hired for this. I'm a full-time writer at S+G, but the site isn't my project. It's potentially a really good freelance gig, though, and I didn't feel right not sharing the opportunity—especially in this market! The need for for copywriters is immediate, and the pay is competitive. S+G uses freelancers with some regularity, so if someone does well, there’s a good possibility of future work. And there's no pressing need for writers to be in New York City, where the S+G headquarters are—free to drop me a line no matter where you live.
Feel free, also, to email me at the above address with any questions. Please identify yourself as a member of She Writes!
Thanks,
Julie
