char It is a weird story; both the story itself and how the story came about.
This book has been years in the making,,, I believe I was 14 when the predesser was thought of.
When I was a teen, I hated my life with a fire ball of hate. I didn't like myself, I hated school, I hated coming home because Gary would be there, my moms on/off boyfriend who - well save that for another blog.
It seemed that my writing was the only place there wasn't any chaos in my life.
The problem was,,, there wasn't anything to them.
My first actual completed 'novella' I guess you'd call it, was based on my friend Heather and I,,, running away from home.
This was not something I would ever actually try, I just needed to blow off some steam and it was a very real thought in my head.
My mom was talking about marrying her good for nothing on/off boyfriend and if that happened my mind was made up.
I would have somehow ended up at the Wichita Childrens Home.
Now like I said, there were no conflicts or anything, I realize now that I was writing about as such, a perfect world.
The book was called "Life in the Fast Lane" which my mother use to ridicule me about, about my writing also not even when I told her I had got the title from an Eagles song, did it let up.
One thing we had in common was we both loved the Eagles.
But she always gave me hell about my writing, anything because I wrote, always wanted to know why I wrote, of course nobody in my family writes,,, least of all is near as avid or started as young as me, to my handwriting being sloppy, which is another trait that nobody shares.
But back to the story.
I can't remember how I ended LFL (shortened the title) but I can say not very well and that is an understatement.
But I kept coming back to it, for some reason unbeknownst to me, but as I started seriously working on my writing a year or two later, that story stuck in my head.
At first she somehow wound up marrying her 18 year old boyfriend when she was 15 and they were both living at his mothers, I kind of got that idea from a movie 'Too Young To Die?'
I think part of the reason, was I had made the original character very undementional and I wanted to work on character design
