she wants to climb the hills in the sunshine
to cross the gates of yesterday with a country girl smile
she wants to feel the warm reflection of the prismal light
to not feel afraid of the wind, so bared and so numbed
but she can count the steps, walking closer to the night
she fears her own silence, talking to the ghost in her mind
she wants to see the sparkling sand in the breeze
with her knee-long skirt to touch the ocean in the sea
she wants to open her arms to the arms of a sunset sun
to not hold half of the moon, lunar light in her eyes
but she can hear her steps in the cold winter outside
she fears her own fingers, tapping the window of her life...
