A friend of mine told me that a poet friend of hers sometimes does her own poetry version of NaNoWriMo by challenging herself to write 30 poems in 30 days. Anyone else do something like this with poetry? I think it seems like a great idea and a way to try out a genre in which you don't ordinarily write. Your thoughts?

She Writes poet, Lisa Cihlar, not only did that in November (a prompt a day, in case anyone wanted to do it with her), but she's doing it again in January... Take a look at her info on her SW page to get in touch with her about joining in for January 2011 :~)
