I have to say Vermont has won me over like a square-jawed, suede elbowed, handsome librarian who looks at me from under heavy eyelids and says my name with a Scottish accent. Mmmmm, oh right, sorry got lost in my own thoughts (and revealed just a bit too much about my predilections). Okay seriously, lots of emails from VCFA, a great informational packet with a sample lecture included AND a welcome call from a NYTimes bestselling author/faculty member. Take notes other institutions! This is how you win affection and improve your acceptance yield rate. I have yet to hear from the other 4 schools I've applied to, so I'm still 2 for 2 but I expect that to change very soon. The rejections will begin rolling in, but all is good cause Vermont thinks I'm a bonnie lass.
