Oh the certainty and security of knowing that you have been born into the one true religion. Abrahams' fun and flirty memoir tells the tale of one such lucky individual. Born a Jehovah's Witness and raised in the knowledge that out of all humanity the JW's beliefs are the only thing standing between eternal life (under The New System of Things) and suffering the torments of Armageddon, Abrahams' actual personality slowly and painfully wakes up. Her journey from devout believer to apostate and beyond was never easy or straight, but she guides us through the wrong turns and dead ends (that ultimately lead to a well-lived life) with a well-honed sense of irony. Many never break free of the tentacles of their past. But I'm Perfect, You're Doomed maps one woman's trail out of the light and into the real world. --
