Call for Submissions by Thaisa Frank (from Redroom.com) I'm the fiction editor of a zine called AbleMuse--at least until my book comes out and I have to spend time on promotion. I'm looking for particularly original work in shorter forms--prose poems, flash fiction, and short stories. You can send things directly to me at thaisa [at] thaisafrank.com. If you want to know what a prose poem or flash fiction is, take a look at my blog called Fictional Forms, and look at examples of the prose poems--although there as many kinds of prose poems as thumbprints, including stories about imaginary countries, snap shots of moments, and confessions of inanimate objects. Among the best collections of flash fiction are Flash Fiction (ed. Thomas), Microfiction: A Collection of Really Short Stories (ed. Jerome Stern) and Sudden Fiction International (Shepherd and Thomas).
