Rumors of Wars: How One's Life can change during our battles in this Life

What comes to your mind when you are in a store and you see a mug that says, "The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still?"

This is true, but when taken out of context of scripture, it doesn't mean anything.

Let's look back at that verse again, Exodus 14:14, "The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still."

That's right. Fight for us, we need only to be still?

Now, wait a minute. Let's go deeper.

If we move onto the next verse, Exodus 14:15, it tells us that the Lord told the Israelites to move on after they had cried out to him. Why?

God wants us to fight our battles, not wait around while he fights for us while we sit back and relax in our Lazy-boy recliner with a hot-dog, mustard, and a can of 128oz of Coca-Cola!

Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is what we hope for in assurance in what we do not see. This is true. But how do we as believers apply it to our lives.

1. We Pray,

2. We wait for God's voice but don't expect him to do the fighting for us,

and,

3. We Fight our battles because the War has been WON when Jesus died on the cross.

I wonder what it would look like for us to fight in our battles with God fighting with us and NOT for us.

What's it like in your world of battles? The war was won... You just need to fight with Jesus Christ by your side.

Blessings!
