Today I have been continuing with my next book, Bangles to Mom. Writing up all of these old letters that I had sent to my mom touches the very core of my soul. I can actually feel the dust on the letters, knowing that there is a chance that it is the very dust from my one-room home back in Pakistan. I close my eyes and my memories come alive; smells and all.

I am amazed and utterly shocked at some of the idiotic things I wrote to my mother back in 1992. Thank God I have matured and become a better human being since then. ....and my grammer? don't even go there! I guess during all of those years of teaching others English, I was in fact, teaching myself. A sad revelation indeed.
