Back to my Roots
Contributor

I've been working on my Native American Series: Book 1 Short Psychic Stories, Book 2 More Psychic Stories, Book 3 now this one is leading me into my roots.  Understanding what being Creek means, sometimes means trusting your instincts to lead you to the places you should be learning about.

I know this sounds weird, let me explain.  I was doing some research on a picture a took several years back.  I hadn't remember the trip until I seen the picture.  I looked up the name on the sign in the picture and it said it was a Creek Tribal Town.  So I looked up surrounding towns.  I have had a strange attraction to this area, without knowing why until now.  This is where my ancestors lived.  I read on and learned a little bit about their language and how they pronounce words.  This made me relize that maybe I didn't have a speak problem.  I tend to pronounce alot of my words the same as they did.    My Book 3 idea has changed from my orignal plan.  I will keep up the research another week and see where it leads me, then I will decide what it will be.

I am proud of my bloodline and the more I learn, the more I understand I was raised in their beliefs and traditions.  I have photos and notes and letters to prove my family.  I knew my great grandparents, but as for proof of being from that line is hard to prove.  They were here before the removal, they came of their own will a few years before the removal.  I hope to one day meet more of the family line, but for now, I understand why I'm attatched that part of Oklahoma.
