Every month She Writes will be featuring an exceptional writer, whether it be an author, blogger, copywriter or journalist as our guest editor. This writer will share their unique experience, provide a sample of their work and answer a few burning questions from She Writes. This month, we’d like to welcome our October guest editor Francesca Hornak!

About Francesca

Francesca Hornak became a fiction writer to watch when she released her debut novel, Seven Days of Us, in October of 2017. Having previously been a journalist and published writer, her work has appeared in several publications including Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, The Guardian and more.

About Seven Days of Us

The Birch family knew what they were getting into when they decided to spend Christmas together in their family's country estate. But what they didn't account for was the quarantine that would bring them closer than they had ever imagined. Having just returned from a country where an epidemic was running rapid, Olivia is told that she and her family must do what they can to stay quarantined in their home for an entire week. Without distractions from the outside world, the Birch family will be forced to make the best out of their situation and confront all the family secrets they never thought would come to light.

“Witty and deeply heartfelt.”—Emily Giffin
"This slightly dysfunctional brood had me laughing…but a surprising plot twist also reminded me that family always comes through in tough times.”—First for Women
“Hornak’s wry, masterful portrayal of a family in crisis is filled with flawed and funny characters who will capture—and break—your heart.”—Fiona Davis, author of The Dollhouse and The Address

Don't forget to pick up your copy of Seven Days of Us and stay tuned this October to learn more about the beloved author.
