Remember the ASL Ice Bucket Challenge of 2014?  Thousands of people dumped buckets of ice on their heads and posted it on social media to raise money and awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The challenge was mocked but incredibly successful. It raised over $115 million dollars for ASL research and led to the discovery of a gene that causes the disease.

So why isn't the latest social media challenge to go viral linked to a charity as well? How about the 2019 Aging Challenge aka #HowHardDidAgingHitYou be utilized to raise money and awareness for organizations such as Burn Rescue, ReSurge International or Changing Faces that help people struggling with something much more serious than aging. If you are going to take the challenge, pick a related charity and post it along with your photos. Maybe it will go viral.
