Often inspired by that which is hidden…

Wondrous wee Wrens singing unbidden—

Perches – twigs in a bush ten and twenty,

And in the cracks, city wall – so many;

Wrens’ voices, in a crowd, swell, persistent,

Souls seeking salvation, Nature’s lament…

Sparrows nest behind the Raised Lettering

Post Office Sign entwined with twittering.

Small birds fluttering in the dust,

Practical, yet fun, to survive bird must

Fly from tree to tree; peck, peck-- and the SONG

They should listen, as should we, all day long

To what is said.
