Just precipitation

Against an attic roof

Stimulates my thinking on

MOMENTS passed (Bye-Bye) poof…

Sadness like thoughtful breezes

Dancing through my mind;

The smell of flowers brings me ease –

Like those old books I find…

In the attic of my ancestors

I hear the trees groan;

And the Squirrels, be they nesters (?)

“Cubbyholes” on loan --

Toad Hall, Wind in the Willows,

Purple Velvet Boots…

Rare mementos, so it goes

Be Here Now, My Roots
