To me, this is a long time in coming: classes on She Writes!!  (So long that I have to get something out of the way first, namely a big...WOO HOO!)**

It has always been my belief that one of the best possible services we could offer She Writers would be highly-vetted, outstanding writing workshops and publishing courses that would tap the most exceptional teachers we knew and connect them with you.  I have been very careful about who to work with (one of our teachers is none other than She Writes' own Founding Partner Deborah Siegel), and have spent many hours with these women discussing what you might need most, and how best to deliver it.  Our list is small, to start, but if you have ever considered taking a writing course online, I hope you will take a moment to see what we've come up with.

Cause it's awesome.

Best, of course, to let these classes, and these top-notch instructors, speak for themselves.

So without further ado...classes from She Writes!

The Editor Is In: A Coaching Series for Writers on Overcoming the Hurdles on the Road to Publishing, with Executive Editor Brooke Warner and She Writes' Founding Partner Deborah Siegel.

In this eight week course, tailored specifically to deal with the nagging questions and concerns writers face during and after writing a book, Brooke and Deborah bare all, inviting you behind-the-scenes insight into the process—including the doubts and what-if scenarios—that all writers experience in their journey toward publication.

In this series, you’ll gain practical know-how and tools that will help you realize your publishing dreams, as well as the intangible but extremely freeing understanding that you’re not the only one feeling weighted down by THE UNKNOWNS.

Classes will begin the first week of October.  Please stay tuned for more from these talented women, who will be blogging here, and sharing additional information about their content and teaching styles to help you get to know them better.  And I do hope that you will remember that by taking a class through She Writes, you support our community in a lasting and significant way.  So you can feel good, AND do something good for yourself and your writing, too.

(**Some of you may remember that we tried classes in our first year, but just weren't ready yet.)

Barbara/anyone else who tried to sign up - glad it's working now... you'll have to excuse my out-of-sync responses as I'm in the UK so was fast asleep when Kamy launched this wonderful new opportunity for everyone! I do hope you can find something you like - my co-tutors have a marvellous selection of courses to offer. Do message me if you have any questions and I look forward to meeting you. (Thanks Kamy for all your work on this!)

Yay!  I love Fiona's course, by the way.  She let me sit in, and read all the course materials.  The idea of doing the small stones each day and learning to use writing as a way to slow down, observe and live more richly is such an important one.

Thank you, Kamy! The "details" links were not working before--that was the problem.  All I got was an error page.  But the one I mentioned--The Art of Paying Attention" seems to be working now!

You have to register for the class to see the details on the GROUP page, but you should be able to use the "details" links above, or to use the drop down under the "New! Classes" button in the nav.

    So sorry everyone!  Which link?

  • Valarie Miller-Corl

Yep me too.  I can only access the send a request page to join a group but no details page.

  • Carla Luna Cullen

I am having the same problem with the link, even though I'm signed in.

  • Miriam Polli Katsikis

Cannot log onto link.  I'm assuming it's some sort of tech. problem.   Wanted to sign up for one class.

  • Barbara Storey

I'd like to read the details on "The Art of Paying Attention," but when I click on the "details" link, I am sent to a page that says I'm not allowed to read the details page!  Is there a problem with the link, or the code?  Thanks for any help you can give; I'd like to know more about the course before I sign up for it.
