Alma Katsu has signed with Century (division of Random House UK) for the next two books in The Taker trilogy. The Taker comes out 21 June, 2011 in the US, and will be available 7 April, 2011 in the UK. Storied Dishes: What Our Family Recipes Tell Us About Who We Are and Where We've Been (Praeger), edited by food writer/historian Linda Murray Berzok is set to be published November 30 and available on Amazon for the holidays. Diane Lockward's poem Birdhouse was featured on Verse Daily on Friday November 5. The poem is from her new poetry book, Temptation by Water. Colleen Kolhoff Little's short story Toasted was accepted in Short, Fast, and Deadly and will be featured in issue 57. Spit That Out!The Overly Informed Parent's Guide to Raising Children in the Age of Environmental Guilt by Paige Wolf, is now available on Amazon. Cheryl Snell and Deborah Batterman both have Kindle versions of their books up at Amazon. Cheryl's is her second novel, Rescuing Ranu and Deborah's is her story collection Shoes Hair Nails. A fantastic and surprising Kindle re-release of Suzanne Clores' book, Memoirs of a Spiritual Outsider (Conari, 2000) is official as of October 1, 2010. Poet Dawn Potter was nominated for a 2011 Pushcart Prize. Marcia Fine's satire Stressed in Scottsdale won another prize from the AZ Author's Association. That's the 3rd one for Jean Rubin and her zany friends. Ann Siracusa's All For A Fist Full Of Ashes (Book 2 in the Tour Director Extraordinaire series published by Sapphire Blue Publishing) is a finalist in the 2011 EPIC competition in the category of Mystery/Suspense/Adventure Romance. Book 5 of the series, Destruction Of The Great Wall was released in August and Book 6, Halloween In The Catacombs was released in September. Book 7 working title Russian Roulette was just sent to the publisher in October, and she is halfway through the writing of Book 8 (the last of the series) working title All For A Blast Of Hot Air. K. M. Walton's debut Childrens/YA novel, Everything's Not Lost was just sold to Annette Pollert at Simon Pulse in a deal by Sarah LaPolla at Curtis Brown. The short humor piece, Sex, and How to Get It by K.A. Laity is up at Polite Company Magazine. Her essays, The Gilda Stories and Vampire Lifestyle are included in Encylopedia of the Vampire from Greenwood Press (November 2010). Thaisa Frank's novel Heidegger's Glasses was released on November 1st by Counterpoint Press. It was released in Italy in October, and will come out in nine other countries in the spring. L. Anne Carrington's book The Cruiserweight is scheduled to be released in paperback in December 2010.
