And so it came to pass, on the feast of St David, early in the 11th year of the 3rd Millennium that the eclectic musical settlement known as 'Awesome 6 Music' reached nationhood, just as the General ordered the attack on her defences. The BBC has enemies alright, Rupert Murdoch's minions being the largest of them.   • It's been suggested that this is a gesture giving the illusion of compliance with government edicts from which the Beeb can retreat in the face of 'a massive public outcry'. So let's get outcrying, I say!

    I agree with that Dr Suzanne but the BBC should make it available on FM. (nationally) They have invested so much money on DAB radio and 6 music is the only really unique station on it, so to scrap it now when they could have made it available on old style radio seems stupid.

  • Only found 6 Music because of the hoohah. Are we surprised at its low audience numbers? Should we be? Well no as most of the UK can't get it on their radios yet, including a very large proportion of the south east, much of the north east and a large chunk of nearly everywhere else!
