Hi I'm new to this group and Wordpress. I'm trying to get the new site completely set up, focusing the blog content on my writing journey (towards authorship- traditional, self, hybrid), sharing my writing (poetry, flash fiction, novel excerpts) and providing how-to advice and tips. As well as the occasional book giveaways, blog tours and guest bloggers to promote other writers.I would love some suggestions, feedback and critiques on the site, to best utilize my content. Still struggling with that header image? Usually, the only thing you can do with that size is to crop the original image using edit image tools in Dashboard--Medīa.

I share your frustration about the 790 s 190 pixel images.  I don’t know if this will work for you, but I found that a number of Pinterest photos are in the public domain and they are all that large or larger...
