Our first meeting was so inspiring! We got much food for thought from Kathi Diamant and Georgeanne Irvine.

We all loved the idea of meeting monthly to support each other in our writing endeavors, so we plan to try the 1st Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 7:30. Our first meeting is set for September 7th . Susan suggested Andiamo in Tierrasanta since they have a private room that might be quiet enough for us to talk easily.  More details on that meetup will follow.

We talked about trying different formats at first to see what suits our needs best. Possibilities are mini-classes, round robins, stars of the day.   Mary suggested that we each e-mail three topics we’d like to learn more about and one topic of expertise that we could share with the group.  If you have topic suggestions, feel free to add them to the comments.

We all agreed that we would love to learn about social networking from Monica.

Meanwhile, the Blog Her conference is coming to the San Diego Convention Center on August 5th & 6th and it was suggested that we have a meetup for visiting She Writers. The Upstart Crow was suggested as a possible meeting place.  If you're interested in that meetup or helping to organize it, please chime in.
