30 Days of Fiction Challange

k, so I just came across this on one of the million blogs I stagger across. I challenge you to join me and post your scenes along with me.

So the plan for this is that I will post the day's prompt and then my scene. Those that wish to go along with me can post their's next. Each scene must be twisted in a way that makes it fit into the Steampunk Genre, and I admit that sometimes this will be harder then others. Just give it your best try.

I'll start this on 6/24/11, a week after this post so as to give people some time to look over the list and start planning, but try not to work ahead. Keep yourself honest, and don't sweat, this is just 30 days of writing prompts to help you get the gears going.

I think at the end I will hand out some small prizes for things like, Longest String of Submissions, Best Effort, Most Improved over the 30 Days, IDK. If you have a suggestion for a good award category let me know.

Also, I'll be cross posting this to a few other groups here, so if you see it more than once I apologize, and challenge you to attempt it too.

Anyway, here is the list, take a good gander, get some ideas and prepare to get to work! I've posted the Due Dates after each prompt for ease.

  • It sounds like fun but I am barely treading water with my own writing goals at this point - I am aiming for a first draft by the end of the month.
