I've changed genres for my current novel. It's a horror novel so my protagonist must vanquish the evil villain at the end to save the day but not eternity. My dilemma is normally I do a summary with a pretty loose ending and see how the story unfolds. With this novel I am feeling a need to reverse order and have a more concrete ending and develop the rest of the story from there. I am totally out of my element as not only am I writing in a different genre but I am using Native American beliefs that are so prevalent in the American southwest.
Do any of you write back to front? Any tips? Especially if you write horror...
Thanks!
