family history

I've started, or rather am continuing, a family history project begun by my Aunt Dorothy, trying to wring memories (if not written texts) out of my remaining two brothers. And then there's my own thinly disguised novel of my own experience in the Peace Corps and afterward. My other projects have been "self" publishing older classics, some of which pertain to the early Republic and the Civil War. I learn a lot doing it, but I'm more an editor-publisher than author. What are you'all working on these days?

  • I'm working on historical novels based on my grandmother's stories. The first is out--UNDER THE ALMOND TREES, about pioneer California. I'm currently querying the next one, ALOHA SPIRIT, about my husband's grandmother growing up in territorial Hawaii. And I just started a new set in Fort Snelling, Minnesota in 1835!
