Rural Writer
Posted by
Whenever I read an article about writers getting out there to promote their work in their community, it seems as if the writer is in a metropolitan area when they talk about the hordes of people who come to their readings at a bookstore or when they are invited to discuss their book at a local organization they sell thousands of dollars of their books and line up other speaking jobs where they can sell more books. In my rural community, I have few opportunities to speak locally since speaking opportunities are few and far between. Which has sent me, of course, to the internet to promote and sell my books. Although I'm talking about NH I wonder if other writers, who live in a rural community, have similar problems with promoting their books locally?
