Write for you. That's the main thing. And go to other blogs that you like, and say something there. People enjoy hearing from their readers. When they see you there, they will click on your icon which should take you to your blog and if they like what they see on your blog, they will stay and read and follow. It takes time. My first two blogs weren't particularly popular, but I have a lovely community on mine now that took time to nurture. Good luck!
