I'm a working writer and editor, among other things. I’m the managing editor for a healthcare news website called Scrubs & Suits. I am also a reporter and social media miner for 12 St. Louis area editions of Patch.com.

I occasionally take on short-term projects, such as copywriting, web writing and social media marketing projects.

My first non-fiction book, The Practical Freelance Writer’s Guide to Author Websites, was released in September 2010.

I’m the creator and author of an award-winning personal development blog called In Pursuit of Fulfillment, which focuses on living well and personal development. I released a free companion ebook in 2011 called On Creating Personal Change.

Along with fellow freelance writer Alyssa Ast, I founded The WM Network, which includes The WM Freelance Connection and three other niche sites.

The WM Freelance Writers Connection: Along with my partner Alyssa Ast, I founded the WM Network. Our first project was this comprehensive resource for freelance writers, which focuses on the business of writing and related topics. Today, the blog features seven different freelancers and has an online community group for its readers. We also offer other services, such as a regularly updated freelance jobs board, writing buddy matching service and a free ebook on marketing yourself and your writing. The WM Freelance Writers Connection's LinkedIn group features more than 2,000 actively engaged members.
