Writing has been natural part of my life since I was a child – at times, even a compulsion. Since the age of 14, I’ve kept a journal (and have saved them all!), but I’ve been known to dabble in poetry at times, too. Growing up, my dream was to study English, Creative Writing and Journalism in college and then work as a bona fide writer, authoring that book that lives inside of me. But dreams have a way of being replaced with inescapable realities, so here I am still keeping a journal, still dabbling in poetry, but have added blogging to my writing activities.
Currently, I blog about Life with Chronic Illness under the pseudonym, KronicLife. The irony of this blog is that my chronic illnesses (and the desire to avoid ‘complaining’ about them often keep me from posting anything at all. But I’m not giving up just yet :-) KronicLife can be found here: http://kroniclife.wordpress.com/ .
From 2006 to 2009, I maintained a blog called: NomDebPlume’s 2½ Cents, which gave me the opportunity to share my political opinions with the world! Or at least with the occasional stray reader who would stumble upon my blog. Sadly, it has been left to wither on the vine since 2009 because the political climate has become so volatile, I can’t write about it without becoming way too stressed out. But the opinions I DID voice still reside in the blogosphere at: http://nomdebplume.wordpress.com/ .
That book still lives inside of me, but I’m working on eliminating all the static so I can find it.
D:-)
