Who am I
I wrote my first book in third grade - Sheets & Pillows - a story only a mother could love about a set of sheets and pillows that were sold at a garage sale and had to get used to a new house and new bedroom furniture. I've been writing ever since, and am lucky enough to make a living as an advertising writer. BUT... all this short-form advertising writing has made me long for the time and focus to get back to what I really love - writing stories.
I've also recently had an epiphany that what I like most, and think I might be best at, is writing non-fiction. I always envisioned myself a novelist, but there's no great idea burning inside my brain and I am endlessly fascinated with the truth around me. I've also discovered that I am deeply in need of a personal goal, as opposed to a goal that revolves primarily around my children or how clean my house is.
I've got a non-fiction book in mind and I'm going to start. I'm here on SheWrites to get the support and cheering section I seriously need.
Oh yeah, almost forgot my blog:
