I’ve always been a writer. My passion started as an angst-ridden teen penning a storm of emotions into sometimes eloquent but, mostly terrible poetry. As I grew into myself, I realized that the written word is a tool of not only self-expression but also empowerment. My literary abilities and communication skills have helped me gain success throughout my career. I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to develop web content, marketing material, contracts, and MOAs for clients and employers. I’ve also been a contributing writer for DIG, a printed periodical with distribution to more than 12,000 subscribers.
Today, my alter ego masquerades as the Queen of Logistics, Boss Lady, and occasional Emergency Wedding Vow composer at a premier wedding and events venue, where a cast of compelling real-life characters continually inspires me.
Although I still dabble with the occasional poetic verse, I focus most of my creative energy on bringing the characters and worlds that reside withing my imagination to life. I LOVE writing fantasy fiction with an emphasis on magical realism, a dash of the paranormal, and some of the steamy stuff.
What I enjoy most about the creative process is connecting with my inner muse, channeling the inkling of an idea that suddenly goes supernova and explodes from my consciousness faster than I can write it down. It’s this surreal, almost manic state of creation that drives me. It keeps me going through the plotting and plodding, through the messy, disorganized, and sometimes terrible prose to the end of a project, and I hope, a finished piece that will provoke thought, inspire joy or, at the very least, entertain you for a little while.
