I am someone who is always into something creative. As a kid I was always drawing, more so in high school, and eventually went to the Art Institute of Atlanta. While professionally I'm not in the ad design business as I'd planned, the need for creating is still there. As a single mom, my hobbies became photographing and scrapbooking anything my son did that I thought was cute! I learned about quilting from one grandmother, crochet from a great-grandmother, and a little about sewing from my mom. From my father's mom, I learned the art of being a good hostess, realized my worth, and most importantly, the love of writing for writing sakes. As a young woman she wrote poetry, beautiful letters to me when I was a child, and eventually published a small book just for the family members on the memories of her life. She has filled journals for all of her granddaughters and nieces so that we remember family and the love she has for us. Yes, she is the one who feeds my love of writing.
Recently, I was lucky enough to begin writing for All Women Stalk and I hope I can continue to find my niche, possibly a new way of life and career in writing. This tiny little bit is more than I ever thought I'd realize, so it gives me great hope.
