Dr. Kim P. Hershorn, Ph.D created LivingTuned.com to be a travel companion for a new way of being–-one that has its foundation in love. Through the Living Tuned blog, Kim offers guidance, inspiration and support about how to live “tuned” in times of change, as well as thoughts about personal and cultural transformation.
Through private and group sessions, workshops, speaking, consulting and personal reports, Kim works with individuals and groups to live in a new, healthier, more harmonious, and loving way. She facilitates clients to attune to their hearts, purpose, creativity, inspiration and intuition; and to their body’s requirements for balance, alignment and well-being.
Since 2004, Kim has taught “Media, Technology and Politics”, a course that focuses on cultural change, at Concordia University. For seven years, she also taught courses on education and social change; the environment and health; media and cultural studies; and cultural diversity at Champlain College. Kim also has international and intercultural experience as a consultant, researcher and project coordinator with various NGOs and community organizations. She is a registered yoga teacher with extensive experience and training and has also studied many other mind-body approaches. Kim has a Permaculture Design Certificate and a Certificate in (Waldorf) Arts-Based Education from Taruna College. Nature, art, creativity and alternative education continue to inspire her work.
Kim’s work has centered around the connections between the body and somatic awareness; chronic pain and trauma; identity; social and cultural change, well-being and renewal; intercultural and cultural awareness; transformative education; human development; and creativity.
