I just graduated with a masters in American literature and a graduate certificate in Women's and Gender Studies. I'm just beginning as a scholar, and have many ideas about articles and books. My ultimate goal is to write a novel. However, I see so much greatness in the works I study that I do struggle to find something unique to contribute.

I love reading and writing. I am at my happiest when in a bookstore, especially after sampling the variety of iced coffees available.

I mostly write academic articles or literary criticism. My career is just beginning, though, so there is no telling what I'll be doing, say, five years from now. Edith Wharton was the author I focused on in graduate school and was the topic of my masters thesis. Despite the immense amount of work I did on her, she still fascinates me.

I am happy to be part of SheWrites and look forward to publishing!

I'm currently putting together an anthology about women and epilepsy, which you can check out at my website.

Also, I have written many articles for conferences, and actually won second place at the Going Gothic: Alabama Regional Graduate Conference in English. The title of my article was "Sweetness of Dependence: Gothic Domination in Edith Wharton's Summer."
