I'm a fiction writer, author of many short stories (Glimmer Train, Adirondack Review, Night Train, Italian Americana, Conjunctions) and some nonfiction stories (Creative Nonfiction, Mason's Road). My collection of stories, The Kind of Things Saints Do, was an Iowa short fiction award winner. It also won the John Gardner Award for fiction. I am shopping around a novel and a collection of stories and am looking for an agent. I also have a new novel that I'm really excited about, and almost through, which takes place in Ancient Mesopotamia about 2700 BC
