I'm a writer, a cynical optimist, a tea drinker and wine lover, and a fan of Corgis. I attribute my creative drive to my artistic mother, who taught me to sew, and my father, who let me monkey around with the gadgets in his workshop. I'm published in fiction and poetry, have a poetry chapbook award, a Pushcart Prize nomination and an MFA in Fiction. My debut novel, IN THE CONTEXT OF LOVE, is published by BuddhaPuss Ink.

I have four poetry chapbooks, the most recent is "Security" published by March Street Press. My poetry, short stories and essays have been published in more than 50 literary journals such as Prairie Schooner, Clackamas Literary Review, Rattle, Spoon River Poetry Review, Slipstream, A Twist of Noir, and Bartleby Snopes. A collection of my poetry appears in the anthology Almost Touching (Plain View Press). Among my awards is a poetry chapbook from Heartland and a Pushcart Prize Nomination.
