Who am I
I am a frantic writer, a mom, a daughter, a grandma, an artist, a hobbyist, and curious about the world I've been living in longer than people think that I have. I don't argue about that. Usually. And it always frustrates me when I answer the inevitable question and I see the person's eye shutters flip to the shut position. I'm still me. Who are you?
My site, blog, or Twitter handle are
My whatever I'm doing online is making questionable progress as I learn and relearn how the talking box works. I am in various stages with my site, blog, forums and chats. I show up occasionally in e mags and get mistaken for people who share a similar name with different talents.
Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to and any scripts or plays I've authored
Books I've written are mostly in draft. I have one ready to dive in that's called,"Dead Over the Rainbow. One that was created when care2.com put creations on line was/is "The Keening and the Purple Shoes." The others are far older and have few red marks in their past. If I intend to follow a manuscript forward, I don't put the entire work online.
My professional associations
I am reading Writer's Digest. I have regular contact with writers who are willing to listen, read and critique as well as expecting me to be willing to listen, read and critique. I've gone to several conventions and teaching sessions in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Minnesota. I attend local groups whenever possible.
Services I offer to other writers
I have a quick eye for typos and I'm good at finding grammar pot holes. I usually do it as a favor for friends who have gone on to publish. However, I have been paid in the past.I'm open to dinners and season tickets.
I'm part of these writers' groups or salons
My husband and I joined with Mark Simmons (SF&F) a few years ago and started a club. From our efforts a few more people have been published. However, the red pen has yet found me in the income column.
Media outlets that I currently write for
As of yet, I have not considered that as a possibility. My degrees are a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's in Music Education. I have been approached to consider writing a musical a while back when I was teaching in rural schools. I wrote a historical play on the beginning of Silent Night. It was something different for the area and had a wide reception to loving or hating how it turned out. That is to say, just like what you get on most personal writing and what develops.
I found out about She Writes from
Several sources. The one that stands out most in my memory was the 2013 Guide to Literary Agents.
