Lois P. Jones is a host of Southern California’s “Poets Café” on KPFK radio. She has published in Tupelo Quarterly, Eyewear, The Warwick Review, Narrative Magazine, American Poetry Journal and other journals in the U.S. and abroad. Her work has won honors under several judges including Kwame Dawes, Fiona Sampson, and Ruth Ellen Kocher through the long-running Web del Sol competition. In 2010, New Yorker staff writer Dana Goodyear selected “Ouija” as Poem of the Year. She was the winner of both the 2012 Tiferet Poetry Prize and Pirene’s Fountain’s “Liakoura Prize.” In 2013, her interview and poems were published in The Tiferet Talk Interviews which includes poets Robert Pinsky and Ed Hirsch. Her poem Demure was featured in the 2014 Arroyo Arts Collective’s Poetry in the Windows project curated by Suzanne Lummis. She is the poetry editor of Kyoto Journal.
